Dream Cruiser’s Annual Picnic
at
Christmas Tree Park
The Dream Cruiser’s annual picnic was once again held at Christmas Tree Park in Manchester, MD. Thirty three Dream Cruiser’s turned out to enjoy the day and camaraderie with their fellow PT buds. While the sun did shine down on everyone, it was a very chilly day.
The theme for this year’s picnic was "Happy Birthday To Us". This idea to have a group birthday party came from fellow Dream Cruiser, Brenda Seaman. It was complete with party hats, games, gifts and of course cake. After everyone ate lunch the festivities began. First up was "pin the tail on the donkey". The winner of this game was Vicki Turner. Next up we played several games of Bingo. There was much enthusiasm and I couldn’t believe how intent everyone was. We had some pretty serious Bingo players in the group. The winners were Kyle Cornett, Vince Turner, Nadene Dixon, Dottie Hill & Bobby Preisinger. I think a great time was had by all. After the games we lit the candles and sang that all time favorite "Happy Birthday To Us".
We also had a 50/50 drawing. Fifty percent, $60, was donated to "Cruisin Against MS". The Dream Cruiser’s have contributed $258.00. The total donated in the name of the Dream Cruisers is $513.00. I want to thank everyone that donated towards this much needed cause. Once again everyone stepped up when asked. Good job everyone!!
Next month’s event will be the American Heritage Cruise. Things are in good shape as we anxiously await June 6 th & 7 th . The hope is that this year’s event be even better than the last 2. Our hope is that many of our club members will come up to experience the day. Not only to enjoy seeing the many cars that will be coming in for the show but to show support for our troops. The Freedom Alliance is a wonderful way to do this. Everyone has worked very hard again this year to once again put on an event that we can all be very proud of.
Hope to see you in Gettysburg!!
